🌉 A Day in Savannah – Field Trip
Join us for a sweet and scenic Day in Savannah filled with hands-on experiences, learning, and time to explore one of Georgia’s most iconic waterfront areas.
We’ll begin our day with a private group experience at River Street Sweets 🍬 where participants will enjoy an interactive candy shop visit before the store opens to the public. During this experience, students will learn about candy-making through live demonstrations and enjoy plenty of treats along the way.
Each participant will receive:
Praline sample and praline-making demonstration
Marshmallow dipped in white or milk chocolate
Ice cream sample
Taffy demonstration
Hard candy sample bag to take home.
This portion of the trip will last approximately 30 minutes, and our group will be the only group inside the store at that time 🍭
After the candy shop, families are welcome to grab coffee ☕️ or snacks along River Street and then walk together to the JW Marriott Plant Riverside District.
There, we will explore the lobby areas featuring a natural history museum 🦕 art gallery, and gemstone exhibits. We’ll wrap up the day with a picnic lunch on the green space outside the Marriott overlooking the Savannah River.
Families should plan to pack their own lunch 🥪
